The "real" concern about car care.

I come back and it is flame Knight. The thread was more of a joke, fun type of thing. I guess not everyone got it about the preaching and such. The thread was a very basic thread. People walk in this forum all the time that are new. I am new, they are new. I found something I wanted to share with them and all of a sudden I got every moderator and pro detailer saying no, no. Sorry if I upset you guys. Just trying to spread the knowledge. Some don't know about the perfect drying technique. I found it and wanted to tell someone about it. Is that so bad? Geeze, I guess I will just respond to people and not make anymore threads.

andymodem, you might have to since, you now know how much I love washing!. LOL

can't we all just get along ppl? NEwbies or not, the autopia community is supposed to be nice to everyone. NO flamming or putting down other ppl.

I like the "purpose" of the thread... it's hard to inform newbies about the importance of washing and drying... it's like a make-or-break step in paint care... Good topic Knight...

(I'm kinda at a loss as to where the flame starts and stuff... I'll pass on that one)...

I just wanted to inform those who are new and those who don't know some of the things I mentioned in the thread to ask questions about them. I thought it was a fun way to get the point across and was hoping to get someone to ask a question so we could help them.

fun yes,

So,

a low post count qualifies you as a 'NOOB'

I think there may be plenty out there who have heaps

of experience/knowledge but just don't post much ...

Or, Maybe don't want to post for fear of being flamed....

IMHO..

Chris.

Boy, this post sure happened fast. I was a bit surprised by how rude some of you were. Sure, it was a weird post. And maybe Knight is a weird guy. But so what? It was an amusing post in an amusing style, and rather importantly, it was in the University. Some of you are jumping on him for being a noob, but at least his post was reasonably informative. There are noobs who join in with moronic questions like "What's the best product?" or "where do I get this so-called 'water' from?" and the board is much more polite to them. At the worst someone says rather curtly that they should perform a search or get the e-book. But they don't get jumped on (by moderators no less), sworn at (for shame, :nono), and criticized. I was quite disappointed to see the turn this thread took... :o

I don't think post count was much of an issue here. Experience and technical expertise are however and Knight possesses neither (I know from his posts here and on other forums). I'm not flaming anybody - just elaborating.
