The list of probables

Just remember, once you go import, very rarely do you ever go back!

Almost everyone I know that were serious Chevy or Mopar guys have converted over to European or Japanease vehicles in the past 5 years. None of them have regreted it one bit.

Whether it be the Altima, Maxima, G35, 3-series, Mazda3, WRX, TL, EL, Civic, Camry, Four Runner etc., everyone is much happer with their vehicles with a pride of ownership that they didn't have with the domestics.

I am a Audi guy. The fit and finish is second to none. And I have always had great luck with them. AWD is awesome, etc, etc.

But I just saw my firends TL and was pretty impressed with the quality of it and I like the looks personally. Decent power.

The Goat looks might impressive on paper. The looks, to me are a bit ho-hum but I think with a bit of custom tweaking it could be quite cool. My only reservation would be long term build quality issues. Power is intoxicating but it loses it's appeal when things start flexing and rattling. Still, I think I would have to give this a hard look.

Tough choices!

You drove an SS before. Most of the cars you listed are going to make you miss that power, you might regret that.

So the only choices I see are the 05 GTO, and the 05 Mustang GT. They're both bargains for the amount of power they make. And they both have very nice and comfortable interiors. Styling is subjective, but I like both.

Here's an update .. Went grocery shopping yesterday and I saw an 05 Acura TL in the parking lot (1st one Ive seen in person)..

I was looking at it and the owner came out of the store and I knew her !!! She lets my wife and I test drive it while she tells us about the navigation system and the other nice things etc etc...

I liked the car alot , tons and tons of standard features but it lacked the power I NEED..lol..Besides the fact that my wife hated it,she cant understand why I would want a "old person sedan"..lmao

Todays test drive is the brand new 04 GTO.. The tiny local dealer has had this car since day one and I never really even checked it out until last weekend. The only drawback is that its black !!! errrrrrrrr....... I really didnt want another black car but with a $6000 price reduction and the dealer dying to get this car out of his showroom, I can probably buy it for $27,000 out the door. Not wanting to endure car payments for years, that would mean only about 1 year in payments and I LOVE that idea !!! We will see what happens.

how'd you like the styling of the GTO? i saw one yesterday, and i only recognized it because i was at a stop light and had time to really look at it for clues as to what kind of car it was. other than that, i'd probably mistaken it for a regular ol' pontiac. :o

and yeah, it's kinda hard to beat the torque of a V-8 unless the car has a turbo. :D

The GTO drove nice , but Im not buying it . I couldnt get past the look of the car. My wife and I are going to the Los Angeles area in a couple weeks to drive the 350Z and new Mustang...and whatever else that sparkles just right :)

IS300...totally unimpressive in my opinion. I gotta go with the TL here. To me, has the highest build quality, refinement, and probably residual value of the vehicles you mentioned. I'm a big Acura fan. I have a 96' myself.

But that's a good thing, isn't it? Sleeper car :D

For what its worth, don't go for a 530, instead go for a 330 if you intend to by a bimmer. In my opinion the 330s' performance speed and looks are superior to the 5s'.

Having said that, I was in Florida on holiday last summer, and I didn't see a single 330 in the two weeks I was there. In fact I didn't see more than a handful of European cars there at all, so good luck finding one ! :)

Sorry for your car loss by the way
