am I wrong or right in that you are supposed to tape off areas to be worked on with blue painters tape and you should not leave the buffer/DA/rotary on the car that long?
 
the headlight video he says now you see the crystalization? thats on the inside of the lense i cant do anything about that. yeah right!!!! if you knew how to do it correctly you could get it out.

and its just that simple.
 
you can do it pretty simple

i use a 2500 grit wet sandpaper and sand the headlights till they are smooth. its best to sand in a back and forth direction inseatd of circular. t

tape off the necessary painted parts

polish the headlights with a lake country orage or yellow pad they make 4.5 inch pads for small jobs that work on tight areas.

i used menzerna super intense polish on about 1200 rps

sand again if necessary

then i use meguiars plastic x at the same speed.

the key is in the sanding you may have to sand a lot do this process more than once. Hope this helps. Thats just the way i do it but im sure it can be tweeked.
