OK, any of you used the pads from this mfg?

The Edge Pad

These are the same sold at TOTL?

Have yet to give these a try. Look like some of the pads I used to get from a distributor in Mass ( Car Care Products)

I have heard good things about the Edge pads fpr rotary use. I have not heard anything about their PC pads.

TOTL does not sell the Edge pads, TOTL sells LC pads.

I've been trying to find out more about these pads too. Seems like the major names in pads are:

LC

Meg's

3m ( rotary)

and now...

The Edge (?)

What others did I miss? So far with the PC, everyone I've spoken with like the LC and the Meg's. Very curious about Edge though.

I have 3 edge pads. I have not used them yet. I got 3 for $25 shipped.

I have a blue one, a yellow one, an a white one.

Feeling the pads though the plastic wrapper, they seems less quality than LC ones I got for my Makita. will have to test them out before winter comes. Sure feels like winter....

I saw these Edge pads at PAL in NJ and I was not really impressed with their quality. The foam did not seem nearly as dense as the equivalent Lake Country Advanced Pad and the velcro did not seem as substantially attached.

I'll be sticking with the Lake Counrty pads. TOL seems to have good prices on these.

Hi Michael,

Those pads must have been in the back at PAL? Haven't been there since July. The pads I saw in the aisle infront of the desk were Megs and I think Buff and Shine. I know I had to ask for a small 4" wool pad that were stored in the back.

Thanks for the heads up about The Edge, will be sticking with the LCs and maybe try the Megs next season.

I went there at the end of August and I was looking out in the front. They definitely weren't Megs pads and I could have sworn they were Edge pads, but now you have me second guessing myself. They had pads in the same colors, blue, light green, and yellow. If they weren't the Edge pads, I appologize, but whaterver they were, they weren't as good as LC's.

Michael

I'm pretty sure I saw Meg's pads, the aisle where the PC, rotary and Cyclo are. That said, doesn't mean he doesn't carry Edge Maybe the Edge were in the spot where the Meg's used to be when you were there.

The Edge pad website is all new and has streaming video regarding the amazing brand new Edge2000 product. This is a double sided buffing pad with a quick change adapter for dead centering and super fast attachment and detachment. Its all online at www.imaselfservingidiot.com.
