Ive heard all the horror stories about this car how it was impossible to get a shine, reflection or gloss from it so I knew I had my hands full. The car arrives and from a distance it appears to look clean but when you approach the car within 10 feet low and behold the whole car was covered in severe oxidation. It was pretty much chalk board white. It was a 2004 model with about 65k on the odo. Closer inspection of the white paint revealed massive staining and yellowing from bird droppings, tree sap, bug guts and residue. Normal washing would not remove the heavy deep staining. The car received the full interior/exterior treatment and a 3 stage polish job. The inside on the other hand was ok but had all sorts of dog hair which was a PITA to remove, usual staining and trash was found etc. Its always nice to have a challenge!
Just arrived, looks can be deceiving
Faded/oxidized fender
more oxidation and staining
oxidized headlamps
bug splattered front bumper
my claybar getting pwned! That brown gunk was coming from the paint
closer shot of the contaminants removed from the paint
doin some prep and after a wet sand on the headlamps
more prep
Left side compounded/Right side uncorrected (notice how the light reflection only appears on the left side)
