Did two details this week, and they couldn't have been farther apart. Detail #1 was the job from hell, a black 2001 Audi A6 that had apparently been washed with a scotchbrite pad, paint transfer, and god knows what else. Despite having only 50,000 miles, it had seen rougher days than some cars at 4 times that number.
Process:
Engine
Spray + Wipe via terry rag
BnB, let sit for an hour, wiped with terry rag
Outside
EO Wet Wash
Chemical Guys' clay with CG QD as lube
Durachem acid on rims
CG blue wheel cleaner on tires and wells
(all polishing done via Makita 9227C)
Powergloss @1500RPM via light cut wool pad
Big O @1700 via orange Propel
PO85RD @1500 via green propel
RMG via Cyclo and white LC pads
Souveran by hand
4 parts BnB 4 parts water 2 parts NL on engine, wells and tires
Interior
Vaccum
Hi-Temp prespot
Agitate with PC + brush
Zep Commercial shampoo with little green
Woolite + MCME
Natural Look
Stoner's on glass and doorjambs
