The Best Christmas Present....EVER

I've been kinda AWOL from DC lately, and I apologize for that. The wife and I have been, to say the least, overwhelmed, with the move and all the chaos that we left behind. Dwayne and the people at 4 Star have been just GREAT to us upon our arrival, but it just takes time to feel comfortable to the new surroundings. I received an email today that I wanted to share with everyone here, since I kinda feel that everyone, thru their thoughts and prayers helpped make this possible.

As many of you may remember, shortly before I accepted the job at PAC, my dad had been in a car wreck and was in the hospital. My oldest brother, Dale, had knee replacement surgery and suffered a heart attack. He had to have quadruple bypass heart surgery. My other older brother, Duane, was diagnosed with cancer. I received an email from him that I wanted to share a part of it with you, since I feel that each of you have helpped make this possible thru your prayers. In this email, it is the first time my brother has ever spoken to me of his illness.

"I took dad out and he got a new car the other day. He didn't get what I wanted him to get, but you know how stubborn he can be when he makes his mind up. Dale came by yesterday and we shot some pool. Had a good time but it just wasn't the same without you. He is doing well, but his progress is slow. I think the knee replacement surgery is slowing down his therapy? They did a CAT scan and a bone scan on me on Fri. The CAT scan turnned out OK, still waiting for the results on the bone scan. They wanted to wait until all the chemo had worked it's way out of my system. If the bone scan turns out OK, my cancer will be in complete remission.Kinda funny but, 5 months ago, the doctors were telling me that they would just do what they could to make the time I had left as comfortable as they could for me, now they are telling me this?"

Thank You everyone and Merry Christmas,

Gary
