The best 2 bits of detailing kit ever (imo)!

Hi,

I think these are the two best bits of detailing kit I own.

I'm so impressed with the results I got yesterday with the PC. Makes the cost and hassle of importing it all worthwhile.

The iPod. What can I say. Makes detailing even more enjoyable. 10,000 songs to listen to while I work. Tiny enough to fit in my pocket, with the earphones running up the inside of my t-shirt to stop the cable banging on the paint. Just need to get some slightly more comfortable earphones.

What are your two favourite bits of kit?

I put an XM Radio tuner in the garage. The iPod/Nomad is nice for music you already know, but it's really awesome to be working along and go "WHOA; THAT SOUNDS GREAT!"

So tool # 2 is a pencil and pad to write down artist and song for future reference.

Love the gatorade and the pop idal :)

On a side note, what metal polish would be suitable to take some fine scratches out of the back of an ipod/ I have some mothers metal polish. Is this fine enough?

Porter Cable and my Tent are my combo.

Did Willy get a recording contract ? LOL BW !!! :D

Yep have to agree. My canopy is one of the most important detailing assets I have ( and I have a lot!).

If you don't have a canopy then:

1. When and how long you work is dictated by the shade of buildings and not your schedule

2. You have to deal with a lot of water marks

3. Cleaning trunks and engines is more difficult as you have to deal dirt/dust from the environment.
