Thanks to everyone on the feedback on Four Star

Based on many of the recommendations I have received, I am going to stick with Four Star's Ultimate Paint Protection for now.

I know when I first started on this forum, not a single bad thing could be said about UPP by Four Star and I see no reason to change to something else now just for changing. I recall everyone always saying the there are plenty of good sealers on the market, but it was UPP that always came out on top.

Hate the idea of having to do two separate orders from now on, but looks like I will have to get the UPP elsewhere, but definitely will continue to order my AIO and PB products from here.

Thanks again guys!

UPP is awesome and there really isn't any reason to use something else.

...unless you find something you like better. ;) With that said, don't rule out testing other products. If you do get around to trying out Wolfgang and you don't like it, then let me know and I'll buy the bottle off of you. UPP had been my product of choice from the time they released it right up to the time I put on my first coat of Wolfgang. I'm not here to say it is the very best product in the entire world, but I've seriously never seen a product do what Wolfgang does in one coat. I was a die hard UPP fan when it came out and I tried it only out of curiosity. I had no idea the conversion would be so immediate.

UPP is a good product and was the first sealant that I ever tried. I also have used Poorboys EX-P and Finish Kare 2180 with good results (although I liked the UPP better), and many people have had good luck with the Jeff Werkstatt products but I haven't tried them yet. I really prefer the look of a carnauba so I usually only use the sealant under my wax. There are many great products out there these days, but it can be hard to change when you have something that you like and that works well for you. I enjoy trying different products out, but I also find myself going back to my favorites most times.

pogo123 - Definitely a good idea.

I recently came across the following and was curious if you are at all familar with these products:

- Chemical Guys Ultra Light Compound
- Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection Spray

I havent used any other sealents except UPP. I honestly don't see the need to either. It is slick, has a great shine, and it's also easy to use.

From what I have heard, Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection Spray can be used between UPP applications.

Sounds like a great product that I might just have to try. :)

Do you like it better on dark cars or light, or both? One thing I like about UPP is how it looks on my dark cars - very deep and wet. I would be tempted to try if it has similar looks on very dark paint....

thanks,
Andrew

I own 4 black vehicles, and UPP looks perfect on all of them. I do not top them with a Carnuba topper. I have also used UPP on white, and silver cars with much success.

I am using UPP on two silver cars. Do you tend to just keep applying another application of UPP every couple of weeks or how do you typically use it. Also, on the silver cars what do you use before UPP, something like AIO?

Just came across Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection Spray, have you tried this yet?

I have relegated my UPP use to white vehicles and have always used AIO underneath. With the exception of my personal vehicles I normally only have the opportunity to get a single application in. During that application, I will go over the horizontal areas (at a minimum) twice. For my personal vehicles, I could only catch them still long enough for a second application.

I apply a new layer of UPP on my car after I wash if I have time (and if I haven't yet hit the mood to put a topper on it). I use the UGE in between washings and after a wash if I don't do a lyer of UPP, and have really liked how both have performed.

Just got the UPPS and going to try it this weekend. :)

UPPS is a good product - I've used it a ton. Keep in mind that it is recommended to let UPPS cure for ~12 hours.

Yes, I noticed that, but thanks for the reminder.

How does UPPS compare to Mothers FX Spray Wax?
