Gotta luv that blue oval
I bought a new truck (2004 Ford F-150 Lariat Supercab dark toreador red clearcoat)
After it started getting dirty, I went to do what I've always done. Something like Lemon Joy with a sponge and a old bath towel (you know, the ones so worn out you can see through them) and some Wax-As-U-Dry. Then I said....There must be a better way. I found this web site and started lurking in the forums about 3 hours every night for about 2 weeks. Then I started ordering supplies and getting some things from Wal-Mart. (they have a great caddy for organizing my bottles and other stuff)
About $120.00 later I decided to make my move.
1.Nxt wash with a cotton chenelle mitt. (2 bucket method of course)
2.Dried with an Absorber and some microfiber towels.
3.Clayed with Clay Magic. (Emptied lubricant bottle so I filled it back up with a heavy NXT Wash and water solution)
4.Another NXT wash and dry.
5.AIOx1
6.UPPx1
7.SIG all the way around.
8.Meguiars Hot Tire Shine
9.I even put the AIO and UPP on my rims.(These trucks are notorious for brake dust)
Tomorrow, I will do my 2nd UPP and then try to decide which pure Carnauba wax to order for my LSP.I know I have a long ways to go but, I'll get there.
