Thanks everybody for the comps on my ride. It is a blast to drive and chicks dive into the car like fish in a boat. :)
 
Nice looking convertable. BMW rocks! I'm glad that my "tome" was of use...now I just want to meet you (and the car) in person.

My CLK500 Cab (Firemist Red) should be delivered in early to mid Oct. I will have you over when it comes in. I am taking delivery of it undetailed and doing it myself. If you have any product that you want to try on a virgin car now is the time to try it out. That is what I am going to do. I am going to do weird stuff like half the trunk with AIO/SG and half with Poorboy's PP and EX. I think that I want to try different Claybars too on it.

Quick question:



What's the point of a remote display for the V1? I mean, it's already mounted at the top of the windshield, right?



So why have another display down in the ashtray area?



Not trying to be a wiseguy or anything, I just honestly don't get it.
 
Because of the window tinting you cannot see the one in the windshield and it is mounted by the mirror so you have to be in the car to see it. If a cop walks up to the car all you have to do is close the ashtray and you cannot tell that there is a radar dectector in the car. And you do it because it is a cool mod.... :)
 
window tinting also reduces the effectiveness of any radar detector, any non tinted glass with the same radar detector will pick up more signals than ones with tint.
 
When you use the remote display with the V1, does it disable the displays on the main unit? I have one, and was considering getting the remote display but didn't know.
