testing matte finish tire dressings

I could give the reflections another try, but the z16 looks good (to me) and seems the most durable of the three I tested (the AA low shine is not that bad). If the z16 does not need to be wiped in an hour, but the reflections does, then that could tip the scale for me to the z16. Also, wiping a product off to make it last longer does not make sense to me. I could see how doing that could make the finish more matte, but more durable? The water beads on the tires with the reflections, but the black look is virtually gone now. the z16 tire still looks fairly black, and the AA tire is close behind the z16.

I have to change my assessment of the Mothers reflection. I hosed off the tires today, and the tires with the mothers still look a little black. I would say that they are 50% as black as when the product was applied. A few brown spots are starting to show through the mothers. The AA tire is about 80% black, with a hint of brown in a few places, and the z16 tire is almost as black as when the product was applied. There are no brown spots on the z16 tire. The shine is gone, but the tire is a nice flat black.

carclean --- have you tried Meg's endurance gel? With the LA rains here Ive been using that and it does hold up very well....certainly lives up to its name.
