Tested out NEW NXT INSANE TIRE SHINE!

Lol. Guess it's too much shine for you then. I guess about 85% of people like a little less than that. That or the other 15% do too and are just trying to be nice. Like I said wait till tomorrow.

I would be interested to see if there is any sling. I would also guess that after several days the shine would be muted some what. I like that matte look on tires I just like a wet look better.

Karo Syrup..ahh reminds me of high school days....My algebra teacher used to call me Karo syrup, because my last name is Caro...she was a weird woman.

I think the curbed rim + crappy resized photo + green fender + way too much writing on the sidewall + super high gloss , non wiped finish + mid day bright sun = pure vomit.

But all those bad conditions didnt really give it a fair chance. I think we definently need another photo and car. Preferably a thin sidewall and nice rims. Im thinking it would look good.

For the price just get a gigantic bottle of black magic or something and go with that. I really dont know why meguiars would ask for that much money on stuff like this. I mean really how much tech can you put into a shine. Unless it lasts for a very very long time. I can live without that stuff.

NXT you gotta remeber is almost geared towards generation X and the import car type crowd. Quick , Easy , Smelly , Snazzy bottles and colors. Kinda makes me weary of the whole damn line.

I like the NXT wash but im thinking it stops right about there. I might try some other stuff like the QD or tire clean....(that one especially since there arent many out there). But thats about it....

What is wrong with the photo size? Those rims are awsome and the color on the car is how it is suppose to be. And those dunlop 245s are really good tires. But I agree as far as everything else but I tried to do that like I said I wanted to see how much I could get out of it to test out how long it lasts.

THIS IS BY NO MEANS THE WAY THE PRODUCT IS. It is just a first day trial test. I am going to use it on my car and I will buff it off this time.

I am not flaming but some people I think have already made up their minds.

Wow, Meguiar's has really outdone themselves this time in terms of a level of shine! I thought my Eagle One Wet Shine was pretty shiny, but I guess I am wrong.

I don't think it looks bad at all.

I probably wouldn't use it for my ride, but some of my customer's demand an INSANELY shiney tire. I once did Meguiar's Hyper Dressing which is supposed to be diluted...FULL STRENGTH on someones vehicle who wanted the utmost gloss.

Could not agree with you more. I have been thinking the same thing. I however am looking forward to some more pictures as well as durability, sling, and appearance after a few days. Thanks for informing us about this product.

THAT IS BY ALL MEANS THE WAY THE PRODUCT IS. So what? Some people don't like it that shiny. I don't particularly like it either and I wouldn't pay $7 for it either. I buy GALLONS of dressing for like $15. Your money and your car dude. Do what you want. But don't say that's not what it really looks like cuz it does. Don't post if you can't stand the heat.

i dont understand.. are you bashing on the rims and tires? cause if you are, what would be the point of that? did you expect Rudamous to go out and buy a car which fit your criteria with the tires and rims you like, just so you would be happy???

reviews are based on the persons own experience.. why dont you try it out for yourself, before you make up a decision on it? and make sure you try it on nice wheels, on tires with thin side walls

NavindraLR,

I understand your sentiment.

It is pretty sad that someone took the time to post a picture and write a small review about a new product and the majority of the responses are either sarcastic or completely unwarranted.

Rudamous, thanks for posting a review on a new product. You may have saved someone the price of buying a product that does not meet his or her liking and you have probably turned someone on to a product they have been seeking. :bow

Same here Rudamous, I appreciate you taking time out to post a review of a new product, thank you :bow

Please let us know how you get along with the NXT after a day or two and after buffing off the excess. I too prefer a "quieter" less glossy finish, but I have friends who like a super glossy tire dressing and they might be interested in this.

Please keep making your contributions to Autopia, later......

Mike :)

I am alittle shocked as well. Rudamous didn't make the product he only took the time to review a new Meguiars product. I am very interested in alot of the new Megs products that are coming out for 2005. I think we should all appreciate him taking the time to take the pics and post a review on the product.

Bottom line....If you don't like how the product...DONT BUY IT !!!!

Well in light of recent events I was not trying to be rude. I just didn't want anyone to make up an impression of the product because there is more than one technique to using it. No need to flame me, I am just try to show everyone this new product I have discovered. I was not trying to offend you.

Anywho I washed my car today and here are the pictures of the NXT Insane Tire Shine on my Contis 215/45s Looks pretty good I put it on thin and then wiped it off. Check it out nice matte look. It is a tiny bit shiny but It still looks good. Nice deep color that I prefer. I like the shiny too though. Either way I think the product is good. I am not sure how long it will last yet. I also do not know how long the can will last. I am going to try to keep track so I can figure how the value of it to the 6.75 can. All in all I give it a thumbs up for the shine and finishes it is capable of giving.

I just put it on then and buffed it off well.

I think this looks much better. My mom's bimmer still looks almost as it did yesterday still that crazy shine. But it's only been one day.

The lighting however on the sentra was right before sunset just in case anyone cared to know. It keeps the same finish though the just deep black matte. I like the look of it. I want to try the tire foam too but I can't find it yet.

Hmm, in that pic it looks kinda like 303, very matte. So it seems like a very flexible product, leave it for shiny, buff it for matte--nice. Let us know how long it lasts.
