Test spot complete, what a color...Meh ZPC ++M205

The color is Pacific Slate Metallic, and wow it is weird... The camera won't pick things up on this color well at all. When looking at the car, I was able to see the halogen bulbs in the work lights, like in most pics...very detailed. For some reason the camera won't pick it up on this paint. It's just a big blur of light. Same camera and lights I used to photo my first attempts in other threads...

I hit a small area with clay, and taped it off... 12" x 12". I did a pass (not sure what exactly a pass is) with M205 and a white 4" pad, and it took all those 'swirls' right out. I then hit it with some ZPC on a black pad, and again it started to dry after a few passes (the other kind of pass!) and it just didn't look right, possibly the lighting. I then hit it with some M205 and a black pad... MUCH better, I think I like the M205 a lot better then the ZPC.

Here is the result...

You can kind of make out my test spot, center and above the real bad part, which covers the whole car. Brand new car too, a shame they don't wash them properly on the lot!

Tomorrow I plan to hit the whole car with 5.5" M205+white then go back and hit the trouble spots again with the 4" and M205+Orange if there are any.

ZPC seems to work best on a firmer pad such as the LC white or Megs yellow. I prefer FP2 if I'm using an ultra soft finishing pad.
