Teaser of the Year!

sucks but what was he honestly planning on doing when living in Canada and working in the states charging $1000+ and not paying tax on it lol. When one customer asked for a receipt he apparently "balked" at that.

He is not legal to work in the states. How do I know this? Because he worked on my car and when I asked for a receipt, he balked. 2 weeks ago he sent my an email confirming he would not be giving me a receipt because the IRS may not look on his work in the US kindly. I then asked him why he would contact me in the first place if he wasn't legal to work here and he never replied.

The worst part is that he damaged some window trim on my car after doing work that I was not completely satisfied with. I have sent him the bill and he has not replied since. I could go on and on...

yikes............

Is all the info about what happened in the lambo chat forum? Just curious what I missed, been busy with grad classes...I feel so out of the loop.

I have to say that normally I would feel sorry for someone getting torn up like this. The internet makes it easy for people to say things they normally wouldn't say in a face to face confrontation. BUT, Holden was never shy in his posts about our Presidential election. If I remember correctly he was a huge Obama supporter. He saw nothing wrong with major government spending and higher taxes. Now we find out that he did not have a work visa and while taking work away from detailers in Florida he also was not paying taxes on any of his income.

Just like a Liberal, it's always the other guy that needs to pay more!!

The shot of the guy buffing with his watch on was a dead giveaway that he wasn't a professional. Who on earth would perform paint correction and run the risk of causing more damage to the paint with a watch. :nono

I hope he realizes he has a mental illness and should seek counseling.

He knows - deep down - that he can redeem himself by coming clean.

It's a long road...

wow, that doesn't look like a professional job to me. Holden should pay to have the trim replaced and pay to have all the polishing dust removed that he left in all the cracks etc.

OMG you've got to be joking... Now that's just unbelievable that someone, ESPECIALLY a so-called "professional" would leave the car like that. Now if he charged the guy rookie prices for that polishing eherm, "job" and left it like this I'd say, "Well, you get what you pay for," but for charging the price he did (a price that very few people in the world can charge) is just insane. Shame on you Tyler.

Todd, since I assume you've seen the innocent victim in person, do you think the trim could be salvaged to an extent?

No it is filleted. In fact the Tyler apparently tried rubbing on it with a little Menzerna to polish it out by hand (not a good idea for those who are considering this). No way to fix it that I know of other then replacement.

Although I've not tried it yet, I've read that peanut butter will at least take out the white stains somewhat... maybe worth a try before replacing the whole thing. Just a thought :)

Finally, pics in this thread! What is it with all these threads from this OP...like the "concours" on his own vehicle...that we never get any afters?
