Teach me Duragloss very basic process

Hello everyone, I'm interested to test Duragloss, Detailing cars is my hobbie, but I want to avoid a very step process.

Currently, I have Zaino products, my process is:

Wash

Clay

Wash

Meg Paint Cleaner

Z-AIO

Z-CS

Z8

What will be the equivalent products from Duragloss?

Wash = DG 901

Z8 = DG Aquawax

How about the others???

Regards....

#105 might be akin to Z-AIO, its got mild cleaners in it

There's nothing like Z-CS from Duragloss as far as I know.

#921 might be considered the Z6 of the DG line.

PC#2 is their paint cleaner. Then do polish bonding agent and 105. Nothing like ZCS in the DG line. Wait a day and aquawax.

105 is their AIO

AW is similar to Z8. If you already have Z8 try it over 105.

If you are detailing others vehicles then DG is more cost effective.

That's exactly what i use my DG for. When my buddy says "hey, can you put a coat of wax on my car" i can put on something that looks really good but doesn't cost me much in the way of product.

1) Wash

2) Clay

3) Wash (optional)

4) Polish or DG PC #2

5) DG PBA

6) DG TPP 105 or DG CCP 111

7) DG AW topper (next day or so or following any wash for extry pop)

Jejeje, I forgot to say, in my car we only use Zaino.

In my wife minivan, is my laboratory, currently testing PoorBoys W,

When researching DG LSPs I compiled a 28 page document combining relevant info on their products taken from this site. These quotes are offered from that compilation (take this w/ however many grains of salt you wish) :

Duragloss PBA - Polish Bonding Agent (601) - sealant bonding/curing agent. Duragloss' version of Zaino's zfx. apply this first, let haze, and DO NOT REMOVE prior to sealant step.

105 is a sealant polish, much like any other sealant. I liken it as most similar to Zaino Z5P, as far as currently available sealants go.

I think the 921 can be compared to Zaino Z6.

yes, it's definitely more time consuming to have to apply the 601 to the entire vehicle...THEN 105 again...when compared to simply mixing a few drops of ZFX w/ Z5 or Z2. the benefit is strictly financial at that point (if you feel that Z and DG are equal in quality and durability). you can buy the 601/105 combo for around $12-$14 i think? Z will be 3x that much or more.

I used to be a zaino user, but since Iam almost out of zaino it gave me the opportunity to try other products, souveran, AJT, and duragloss(111 , 652, 105 and aw). I was browsing through the zaino posts and noticed that a unique method that was used(forgot who came up with it tho, g35syles?) , i.e Mix z5 in the little bottle and add a pump of z8 , to help it spread better.

Since duragloss is so similar zaino , I did the same thing today. I poured out the 105 in the little zaino bottles, and added 2 pumps of AW to it. It made the application VERY easy and quick. So for those of you that use 105 and AW, give it a try and let us know how it works out.

I have both Zaino and Duragloss products and I can't tell the difference in any of the ones I have and use. I've mixed Z-2 and 105 together, along with mixing Z1 polish lok and DG #601 together both look, smell and perform the same for me.

Being a Zaino user for many years, I can say that the DG products easily meet my expectations (for durability and shine) and can handily go head to head with the best products on the market. Call it hype or whatever, but I will stand by my opinion that they are one of the best products on the market.

I can no longer see paying Zaino prices, when I feel DG offers me (what I feel are) similar results for a fraction of the cost.

.........and if you're still w/ me:

Duragloss Process:

1. Wash with DAWN or strip old wax/sealant from the paint with your product of choice.

2. Perform any necessary paint cleaning, polishing, and swirl removing (i.e. claybar, SMR, etc).

3. *optional step* Apply 601 PBA. DO NOT buff PBA off, as you will apply 105 TPP over PBA in the next step. PBA is similar to Zaino's Z1, not ZFX, if you are familiar with the Z system.

4. Apply the 105 TPP polish, using THIN coats. Do the whole car at a time, let haze, and buff off. If you used the 601 PBA in step 3, apply 105 TPP on top of the 601 PBA. Use the finger swipe test if you are unsure of when to buff the paint. Swipe your finger across a spot on the paint, and if it wipes away perfectly clean, with no smearing, it is ready for buffing.

5. Apply 951 AW on top to complete the protection steps. You can do multiple coats of AW for added “pop.

6. *optional step* Use the 921 FC&S QD spray last, but the FC&S has little protective qualities like AW. The 921 FC&S will simply add more gloss and slickness.

7. Admire the great shine and enjoy fantastic protection!

Please Note:

Steps 1 and 2 are not Duragloss specific, and should be done regardless of the LSP that you use. Also, step 3 is optional (601 PBA), but it will likely enhance the durability and protection of the 105 TPP polish.

Mind you...these are not my thoughts (although I agree w/ the vast majority) these were taken from various posts here :
