TAR, TAR, Everywhere!!

I use stoners and it works great! But if you have it all over it will be a lot of work:( Here is a few pics of some tar work I did...

since we are talking abt tar, just wanted to know if tar can be removed without any of these cleaners, any home grown recipie ?? out here, where i live people use diesel to clean tar!!, can anyone suggest anything else?

Reghu,

WD-40 isn't availabe over there in India. Ouch. I thought we had bad here in Canada with product availability! :-)

Alright...I've decided to use WD-40 as my solution. I wish I could use Stoners, but imagine how many cans I need in order to do my whole car (Ford Explorer)!! LOL.

Here're a couple of questions.

Do I go ahead and wash my truck first or should I just jump in and do it?

Should I rewax my rig after this?

Thanks for the responses guys!!

I personally would wash it just so I knew where to put the WD40. Then spray WD40 and you may have to work a few areas. Then rinse then wash again.

1. Wash

2. WD40

3. Rinse

4. Wash

If it was me that is.....

Well, you may want to wash with cold water to remove excessive dirt particles, then hit it with WD-40. Then wash, then wax....WD will remove any protection on your car...Dont worry about getting it spotless after the 1st wash, your going to need to rewash anyway....Also the colder the water the better, for whatever it is your washing with....Warm water/surface will soften the tar and you may get some on your cleaning cloths....
