Tar on unpainted plastic trim

What do you guys use to remove tar from unpainted plastic trim? The Tar & Bug removers I have say "safe for use on all painted surfaces." They don't say anything about unpainted surfaces. Others, like Stoners, specifically advise against using on plastic. Suggestions?

try an APC. let dwell for 30 seconds. and lightly agitate with a terry cloth. rinse.


i dont use tooo many bug and tar removers. i dont really find the need for them. but the other day my car had some tar on the left lower rear panel and that regimen worked fine.
