Talked to Sal Zaino

I wrote Sal an e-mail regarding my "chunky z-2". (there was a post on this earlier). He wrote me back and asked for my address and full name so he could give me a new bottle!! This was after I had buffed the "chunky" off. As good as it would have been to get the new bottle, I declined it since this one was ok, just had chunks that didn't hurt paint, and still shined.

He also gave me a list of how long products should last.

Glad you had a great experience with Sal Zaino and thanks for the shelf life information

It is still nice to see a business man who still wants to look after his customers. Good customer service is still all to rare these days.

Sal is awesome! His products rock, his customer service rocks, and his advice rocks! All in all, he's top dawg in my book!

Oh, and there are "other" things that rock about Sal too, but that's for me to know and you to find out....

Wow, that IS impressive customer service! :xyxthumbs I also emailed him a while ago with questions and it was nice how much time he took to reply in detail. Too bad this kind of thing is getting hard to find these days... :(

I agree. Sal is a great businessman. Talking to him makes you understand why he does things his way. Many have comments about the way you have to purchase the products, but when you talk to him or converse through email, you understand it is to keep a better rapport with his customers and keep costs down.

He answered all of my questions over the phone when I am sure he was busy. But he took the time to tell me the same things he told you. You see when you use the products how very little goes a long way. He could just as well, tell you to slop it on have to buy more products from his sooner. Rather, his instructions state to use "very thin" coats and how much you should expect to get out of a bottle of his product.

All bow to Zaino!:bow

Sal is the man when it comes to cutting through some of the BS I get from other manufacturers.

At the same time, he doesn't try to make outrageous claims about his own product the way other companies do. I really admire his integrity....which was clearly evident starting back before the days of ZFX when he emphatically stated the cure-time limitations of Z-2/Z-5. He easily could have said, "layer away!", but didn't do that, despite the predictably high amount of whining and griping it caused among some people, including some Autopians.

When I gauge the level of confidence I get when reading the claims about a certain product vs. the level of confidence I have when reading the claims that Sal makes about Zaino, there is absolutely no comparison.

I agree, every experience I've had with Sal via email, or over the phone has been positive! Sometimes he doesn't give you the answer you want to hear, but at least you know he's being honest and telling you like it is. Ya can't ask for more than that!
