Talk about a turn around...

This is the trunk to my G35. The previous owner loved to put their crap on it and the damage was outstanding. I sanded the CRAP out of this trunk, and there are STILL some minute scratches. But I'll get to those guys another day.

This is AFTER a wash:

And after all my hard work:

nice work - gotta pic of it under direct light?

What did you do/use?

(looks like you got another toy in that pic)

Well, I clay bar'ed it using a Meg clay bar. Then I wet sanded like a crazy person using 2000 grit 3M paper. Then I used 3M rubbing compound on a wool pad. Then followed that up with Meguiars Swil Remover #9 on a foam pad. Then followed that up with the Meguiars 3 step wax process.

I have a bunch of old product in my garage. Figured I would use it all up before I go out and buy a much of new compounds and polishes.

I'll get some of it in direct light. I know it looks like Im cheating :nono

Work looks great.

As a side request, how about some pics of the bike too please:bounce:grinno::drool: . Would make a nice addition to the official motorcycle thread.

I'm a big fan of the 3M rubbing compound/Megs #9 1-2 punch.

I do the 3M w/ a wool pad (on my crappy Ryobi orbital) and the megs 9 w/ a foam bonnet. Follow it w/ NXT and it's a thing of beauty.

Props to the OTC detail w/ Autopian-level results. Great work/great results.

I'll be doing a Mazdaspeed 3 w/ that system next week.
