Taking a break in between steps...

What do you guys do if you run out of steam on a car you're detailing, and it sits in a garage over night after the first correction step and you're anticipating another step and sealant application the next day? Would you first do a 50/50 wipe down or maybe use some QD? My product is not dusting much at all, but the garage is a bit dirty/dusty... Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I don't have any ONR or a waterless wash product.

So my options as I see it are:

1. two bucket wash - but would have to re-tape

2. spritz and wipe with Z2 - but might affect subsequent polishing & sealant with HD polish and HD Poxy

3. spritz and wipe with 50/50 IPA - might not have enough lube to safely lift dust

Any other thoughts would be appreciated!

tdowns187- Next time, I'd formulate the overall plan around not trying to do the whole car in one go.

The Z2 shouldn't be any issue for the HD Polish, it'll cut right through. I'd worry that the IPA wouldn't have sufficient lubricity and/or encapsulation.

I vote z2 wipedown fwiw. All that will be on it is dust. If HD polish doesn't rake care of the marring, if any, left behind you're doing it wrong lol

My garage stays pretty clean so I just use my compressor and blow off the car and move on to the next step. I haven't had to do it often, but it has happened. If you have a dusty/dirty garage I don't think I'd trust that though.
