..I guess they are on the part you can't see in the pic, I haven't noticed them to be any deeper than normal though. I got the cheepy valve stems (they didn't ask) so they are black and I don't notice any dirt.

OK, I wondered if they were really different from *our* A8 wheels. We have rubber stems too, but the A8 wheels on ours have these deep recesses that the stems are in...I have to use swabs to clean 'em, what a PIA  and it's not like I'll ever have them 100%

It takes me between 1 to 2 hours to wash my Integra. I enjoy washing my car so I dont rush, plus I'm real careful not to marr the paint because I dont like polishing. My wheels and tires take 20-30 minutes. Yeah I like to do a good job.

I can easily kill 3 hours washing my dad's LX470. It's the family's road trip vehicle and it's always meticously maintained and cared for. Just making sure the leather has no spots and is cleaned, conditioned well and all areas are accounted for can eat up an hour easy as I'm really picky on how things must look and feel before moving on.

It's a bit reassuring to hear how others spend a long time on this stuff too.

Oh, and Welcome to Autopia, JZPWR! Sounds like that LX is in good hands.

Do you feel the sponges do as good of a job as clay?

Also, do sponges come in untra fine, fine, medium etc. like clay does?
Only one "grit" or finish, not sure what to call it, it is a little more versitile-you can use it to finess or it can really be aggressive, you can do 12-15 full cars with one sponge where I can only get up to 5 with a good size clay bar. Order one, you will be impressed. I would like to see them mentioned more so maybe they would be carried here. They popped up on another forum in Feb. I have used them ever since, I probably have only used by clay bar 3 times in the past month, and I really only use it for smaller odd shaped surfaces since the sponge measures about 3x5

Thanks for the advice.

I may have to order one on my next Autopia order.
