Tailored Automotive Detailing: 2002 BMW 325i

Well, this is my last detail and post as a single man. I have actually a funny post to put over in the Hot-Tub section , but that may or may not happen before I get back from the H-Moon.



This detail was a local client looking to restore her BMW to its former beauty. She booked our "Casual Package: Overnight Express". She ended up with a little more cuz I had the time and this was my last detail until mid-July (when I get back from the H-Moon).



She dropped off the car around 6:30 pm and I started on it by 7. She is very nice person, and it made me even more apt to go further than normal with the detail.



She stated that she had had the vehicle detailed before and I could tell. The paint was fairly smooth but it had a lot of RIDS and smudges in it. The interior....forget about it....you'll see the pictures. Family of 5..nuff said.





Anyway Here's the detail:

-Detail Info-

Package: Casual Package- Overnight Express (7-7)

Time: 6 Hours

Exterior: Wash (DP Xtreme Foam and Foam Gun), Pinnacle Bug Sponge, Sonus Green Clay and Glyde, Megs D151 with Green Pad and Flex 3401, Opt SW.

Interior:Vacuum, Cleanse with TOL APC (10:1), Klasse AIO on Wood and Aluminum, Opt Leather Protectant, Meg's Quick Detailer, Gummi Plege on Seals, and IG on Glass

Wheels/Tires/Undercarriage: Glossit WHeel Cleaner (2:1), WG Tire Gel, Griots Undercarriage Spray.

Engine:Surfcity RT Grime Destroyer, Swissvax Brushes, CD-2

I have GOT to learn about this CD2. Great turnaround. The interior was... ummm... wow.



Seems you and I use a number of the same products, but also some significantly different one's too. I am curious about the wheel cleaner. I need something strong that's won't ruin the average clear-coated wheel or plastic center caps. I was thinking of going with the PB product because I find myself gravitating there more and more over time.



Your process must be awesome to allow you to get this much done in the amount of time you take. I don't do the engines on the cars I do and it generally takes me 8-10 hours to do an int/ext detail to about the level you show here. Obviously the flex is faster than my PC, and my current wheel cleaner really has me doing 2 passes on the wheels so I am losing 30-40 minutes there.

So is CD-2. I buy it in a case of 6. Once cleansed and prepped, just spray on to the engine. You're supposed to let it dry and then run the engine for about 20 minutes for it to even out. But I like wiping it down. Plus it smells like black cherries!:clap:



I am extremely focused once I begin to work. From where my products are located on the shelves to not taking drink breaks, etc. everything is designed to maximize time- but I also don't cut corners...never. Thank you for recognizing my process. Sometimes its faster or slower than others, but always GSP.



Gloss-It is terrific. You can cut it up to 3:1 and some people even claim 4:1. The customer Service is awesome and I have now begun using it everytime. From $10 wheels to $1,000 ones. It is non-caustic and super safe. It does require agitation though....not like Spray and Rinse from PB. But PB is not as safe and can cause damage on some wheels (don't ask how I know :sosad).





Jakerooni: Thanks man! Looked good from the client's POV too. We spoke at great length when she came to pick it up and I now have a new family of vehicles to maintain. :clap: 3rd shift rules! It's so nice and quiet...everyone is asleep and my garage is a beacon to cars everywhere. I honestly laugh when I put up the door when I am done (usually between 12-4am depending). It looks like when the DeLorean is unveiled in Back to the Future or Something!

so no extreme from here,but i like how the exterior is made...smooth and glossy...cool
