Tailight "Tinter"

Awhile back I remember coming across a guy on a forum who would tint your tail lights if you sent them to him. I can't remember which forum it was on but does anyone have a contact who could do this for me? I have an 03 Golf.

Thanks!

Hey Josh! Hope all has been well.

I know that plenty of people use Bat's "overlays" and are extremely satisfied with them.

Check out his products at BlueBatmobile2005 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Use the "Contact Me" link and click on the picture for his contact information. According to his list he has them for the VW Golf GTi but I'm not certain if that's what you are looking for.

Take it easy dude.

I have tinted out sidemarker lights on my old 2000 Maxima. I used a product called

Lamin-X. It was cheap and its basically a film similar to a 3M-Clearbra. A hair drier and a plastic scraper to smooth it all out and they looked amazing! I deleted all my pictures off of photobucket but they really came out nice. I think I paid a total of $30+ for a couple sheets that did all four sidemarkers. Check them out. Would you be willing to try it yourself? Everyone I know that has used Nite shades has had good luck.

Treat it like paint. Be prepared to scuff and buff afterward.

VHT Night shades FTMFW, there is a gentlemen on a mustang board I'm on who does this for folks as but I think he uses something else.

I don't know if your involved in any wbody community forums but I know of a couple guys who do great work. If your interested pm me and I will get you in touch with them.

I appreciate all the quick responses!

Scott: I actually seen Batmobile around a few forums when I was searching yesterday. I sent him an email and I'm waiting to hear back if he is able to do my year or not. If not I think I am going to go with the Lamin-X suggestion.

Thanks again guys!

I heard back from Jon with a quote. I ended up picking up a cheap set of stock tails to install while I send my set to Jon to tint. Will update this once I receive them back! :xyxthumbs

Wow. His work looks quality. I'd go with that over the tinted ones as well.

The only downside is needing a second set of lights or to leave the car garaged for weeks (<-- not an option, I like driving it too much) :D

Let us know how it turns out.
