Tahoe, Range Rover Sport, half wrapped Vibe

2003 Chevy Tahoe. I've detailed the owner's C6 Corvette a couple times, he recently changed jobs and now has a longer commute so he picked up this 10 year old Tahoe to keep from racking up miles on the 'Vette. The interior was in surprisingly good shape for a decade old SUV. Usually the interiors are trashed at the 6 month mark... Outside was the owner's main concern. Just wanted it cleaned up good and protected.

ONR wash, Opti-clay

ONR and Optimum Power Clean diluted 3:1 to clean wheels and fenderwells

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my Meguiars G110 v2 DA polisher

Optimum Opti-Seal

ONR wash and wax cut 32:1 to clean glass

Armor All on tires/fenderwells

3D Trim Protectant on all exterior trim.

Finished later in the day, very short driveway so no real way to position the Tahoe for better pictures.

2012 Range Rover Sport, was brought back from California after a Strut appearance package was installed. The mesh grill and fender vents are hand made, special badging and wheels. The paint had some light swirls but bigger problem was straight line scuffing (probably from a brush) on the hood. Took a few shots with my cellphone but they didn't turn out that well. Nothing too severe anyway. Paint seemed to be on the soft side without being prone to marring or hazing, so that was nice for a change!

ONR wash, Opti-Raser pink (mild) to clay

Optimum Hyper Compound using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my G110 on the hood

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my G110 on the whole car

Optimum Opti-Seal

ONR wash and wax cut 32:1 to clean glass

Armor All on tires/fenderwells

Here is his 2009 Bentley Continental GTC (just ONR Wash and Wax) that apparently the dealer detailed when it was in for servicing-about 4 weeks after we detailed it. Needless to say, it now needs a full correction thanks to a plethora of buffer holograms. Probably handling that sometime in April, the owner will be in Portugal on a cycling tour so I'll have ample access to it.

2006 Pontiac Vibe. My brother bought this car for his business a few years ago for his techs to drive. We detailed it before it was wrapped, and I don't think other than an occasional wash, its been touched since. The nameplate might say "Pontiac" but its a rebadged Toyota Matrix. Complete with Toyota's stupid SINGLE STAGE WHITE PAINT. Which, over the past few years, has turned to chalk. The wrap was holding up nicely though.

After washing and tire/fenderwell dressing but before polishing:

Interior was a mess. To compound matters, the carpet really isn't carpet, its pretty much the same stuff most cars have lining their trunks. 35 minutes just to vacuum. And probably would take 10 more hours with tweezers trying to get the rest of the stuff woven into the carpeting out.

Should have used flash for the jambs before and after...too late now

Optimum Power Clean and ONR plus several minutes:

Full Process:

ONR wash, Opti-Raser pink (mild) to clay

Optimum Hyper Compound using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my G110 (painted areas)

Optimum G-P-S using an Optimum MF polishing pad and my G110 (whole car, including wrap)

ONR wash and wax diluted 32:1 to clean glass

3D Trim Protectant to dress exterior trim

Armor All on tires/fenderwells

Woolite/water diluted 20:1 to clean vinyl

3D Carpet Shampoo diluted 16:1 to clean carpets and seats

Optimum Power Clean diluted 3:1 to clean floor mats

Meguiars Interior Quick Detailer to dress textured plastic (dash, tops of door panels)

Optimum Protectant Plus to dress the rest of the vinyl

This is the dead paint coming off the car for every 2' x 2' section

Nice work guys! Rover and Bentley car be fun if paint has been molested. Both look perfect from what I see. Is that your brothers vibe?

The Bentley will be fun to be sure...

Yes, the Vibe belongs to my brother's business. He doesn't drive though, his techs do.

Hrm....cycling in Portugal and lives in Texas. Has this guy been interviewed by Opera recently? :D
