I noticed a few spelling errors. I hope this helps.


conifident is spelled: c o n f i d e n t

proficent is spelled: p r o f i c i e n t

vehical is spelled: v e h i c l e

alot is two words: a lot

polish & wax there cars. it's: polish and wax their cars

I have tryed. it's: I have tried

achevied is spelled: a c h i e v e d

scraches is spelled: s c r a t c h e s

maby is spelled: m a y b e

curently is spelled: c u r r e n t l y

competion is spelled: c o m p e t i t i o n

if your affraid. It's: if you're afraid

affraid is spelled: a f r a i d

Im - should be: I'm or I am

realise is spelled: r e a l i z e

your not correcting your - should be: you're not correcting you're

leting is spelled: l e t t i n g

didnt: should be did'nt or did not

devlope is spelled: d e v e l o p

beter is spelled: b e t t e r

pratice is spelled: p r a c t i c e

Any reason you felt compelled to correct his spelling? Are you guys old friends? Are you just busting chops because of an old inside joke that I am not aware of?

Just wondering.
 
Well....I have no idea what Franks deal is but I have to ask "why?" Has it come down to pointing out everyones spelling errors?

I see the Fuzz coming in here and laying down the law.

I apologize for my grammatical errors. I do not spend a lot of time typing on the computer.
My mind is always ahead of my hands and I always struggle with spelling.
The only thing I know about mirrorfinishman is that he gives the best hand job in New Jersey.
I heard that from the local P.D.

Wow! All that useful information and you forgot to mention that you were banned from Detail City last year and you snuck back in a few months back when I lost a ton of threads and member info. Fuzz told you that he was going to let it slide and let you stay on the condition that you didn't make one wrong move or offend anyone as you had done in the past.

Based on the number of people that have reported this post and based on the response to this post in public I can see that I am not the only person that is offended by it. Please refrain from using this website from now on.

That is absolutely the funniest thing I have seen on this board!! Haha, and the deed is done!! The guy brought up controversy once a week it seemed.

i use bad spellin' too. but my fingers mover faster then my mind and my eyes dont allways fallow. NO BIGGY

We will miss him...

He really shared so much knowledge about hand product use and techniques.

At least gave us a few weeks of drama. Now back to what we like writing about the most ... Detailing !!! :)

TOLERANCE means also, that the users of this forum should learn the characteristics of each member. I do not know mirrorfinishman or anybody here, but as an automotive writer and psychologist (do not ask about this combo!), I think it is THE MOST BASIC THING to spell, write and read correctly!!! If it is his way to strive for perfection...

I used to correct countless typo- and composition errors, and DC (or Autopia) is full of them! It is awful, sad, tragic! If we all are devoted to something, that means perfection; tiny bits and pieces, work, patience and satisfaction, we should behave like that! Beating somebody because of THIS is just unacceptable. DETAILING WORDS is an aspect of perfection.

You should keep in mind that ugly, deformed words are destroying the (artistic) taste and sense of beauty. Mirrorfinishman was right. Such letters must have been edited!!!!!!!!

Proof read a few of your own replies in some of your recent posts (trust me) and I will guarantee that you will find quite a few typos of your own. I know I find many in mine.

My feelings about his (mirrorfinishman) reply to Ron was that it was mean spirited, and if he really gave a hoot about Ron's grammer in that post, a PM would have been more appropriate.
 
Mr. Canna makes a habit of antagonizing people in different forums. He rarely contributes anything useful other then pointing out that he has been detailing since 1986. I have never seen him post any pictures of his work and he is quick to point out faults in other member's procedures. Thanks Dwayne for intervening.

Bence,

If you had read in context the post by Dwayne you would then know that Mirrorman was previously banned PRIOR to this incident, correct?

So he "sneaks" back in and when he is caught he is allowed to stay, given another chance, but he again causes trouble and he is banned again.

So you are incorrect for him being banned "FOR THIS" but rather banned for continuing his behavior.

Lastly, "tolerance" means that one puts up with another but may not like that person for whatever reason. Tolerance does not mean one must like that person or their actions. An analogy might be that I like to picnic but I also hate bugs. So I must learn to tolerate the bugs if I wish to enjoy my picnic although I hate bugs.

Last lastly.......just because Mirrorman may strive for perfection does not give him the right to impose his perfection on another. This then would be opposite of "tolerance" correct? If you wish to preach tolerance than should you not PM or E-mail Mirrorman and tell him to be tolerant of misspellings?

First of all, my decision stands and I made the correct decision. Also, like others have said, take what I said IN CONTEXT. This was a previously banned member, given grace, and he chose to ruffle feathers.

In regards to your P.S. You are way off on your assumption. On the bottom right hand side there is a little link that says "Report This Post To A Moderator". This is located in EVERY POST and is available for EVERY MEMBER to use and it is a tool that members can use to notify me of threads and posts that I may not be aware of. No informers, spies or other qualified entities here but that position is available.

Hi all,

I mentioned that (being new) I don't know mirrorfinishman. I didn't checked the former posts or status of him, so I don't know the whole context Dwayne referred to.

Dean, of course I misspelled some things in my posts, but as instruments of variance, and they were intentional (xpensive/yooz/rulez/surfin/lotsa/thanx) - as you can see from the context (that word again...).

Personally I've found it funny to read the corrective letter of mfm; I could visualize the typical Get it?-face. LOL

Still, I have a strange feeling about this. I don't like the report link either. I accepted him as is, like I accept Bigron with his Nu Finish. Jacques Villeneuve has a similar personality (trust me, I know him personally) to mfm; he is destructive but if you can learn how to deal with it, he can motivate very much. He just lets you figure out how to be (or become) constructive. We all can learn a lot from a destructive but objective critics too. If mfm is a good detailer, who cares about his grumbling? I couldn't take it seriously. I don't think it's a capital crime, I rather see him as one of the old men from Muppet Show.

Being tolerant to misspellings is a good point Anthony mentioned; I'm practicing it pretty much here, but having a letter like that is sometimes really amusing. If it is his way of graphomaniac satisfaction, I'd let him onanize with the words. Funny reading.
