I use quick releases and shutoffs on all my hoses, but I still use separate hoses for the foamguns and the rinse nozzles.
I have two hoses on each side of the washbay, one for the foamgun and one for the rinse nozzle. I also use a pair of buckets (wash and rinse) on each side, and I rest the foamguns in the rinse buckets when I'm not using them. Not having to drag buckets/hoses/etc. around from one side to the other is convenient, and my wash regimen is tough enough as it is, so I don't mind indulging myself with the redundant systems.
