Swissvax Concorso finish on a black corvette

Looks nice!

I'm surprised that Optimum Polish worked well on that hard Corvette clear. I have worked on a lot of Corvette's and think there are much better products out there. Do you detail many Vettes? You should get yourself some Menzerna, 3M & Meguiars polishes to try out if you are looking for more agressive polishes / compounds to try. It will make your job much easier with better results IMO. Optimum does have a long working time though, which is good if you are polishing in the sun.

Anyways, looks great!

Thank you

So many products out there...

can you recommend on names and numbers of the polishes and compounds and i will definitely take a look at them.

not many Vettes...But i did join the Breathless Performance Corvette Club in my area last month :)

I think Rick was talking about trying out Meguiars #105 Ultra Cut Compound, 3M Extra Cut Rubbing Compound, Menzerna SIP. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's it.

It looked dang good before you applied the wax, but man did the wax add depth and wetness to the black. Nice work.

And I love how all of the pictures were done in the same lighting. It made it easy to see the differences.

I must of missed the after shots in the direct sun like the 2-3 before shots in the direct sun.

Looks nice under the canopy in the last shot, but would like to see some after shots in the direct sun.

Did Swissvax change their colors again? I have seen the older green version and the yellow version. When did it go to pink or was pink before yellow?

Im not sure when they change the colors, but I like this one.

I order this color about three month ago

What a shame. All of that work, and now it has to sit outside because the garage is full of crap.

hehe

this was actually the clients parents house, which is in a gated neighborhood.

He parks his vette in the building he lives in, but I wasn't allowed on the property on

a sunday so i had to do it at his parents house...lol
