I have a customer who brought her vehicle to me with swirl marks over the entire hood and quite visible under the clear bra installed on her hood.
I removed the swirl marks from the hood but she insisted the swirl marks under the clear bra were actually on the clear bra surface. Furthermore she demanded I polish the clear bra, which I declined since I was using Meguiar's M-80.
She returned a couple of weeks later saying she had taken her vehicle to a detailer her removed the swirl marks from the surface of her clear bra.
3M does state their paint protection film does contain a clear coat, so is it possible to have swirl marks in clear bra and is it possible to buff them out with a polish such as M-80?
