Swirl, used DACP with PC but still there

Last week, I used my pc first time with DACP and at the time I thought they worked well but yesterday I notice that I still see the swirl, maybe more than before?? well I haven't applied SEC/S100 yet since I want to make sure that swirl is all gone.

I thought I used PC till DACP break in down far enough (2-3min)but I wasn't sure how far I should break in. I didn't see any power but I could see the oil/film though..and I wiped off with MF.

I'm scared to use DACP now since it caused more swirl.

Should I try it again? and this time use PC longer on each section?

I need some suggestion now.

also I'm wondering if there's any pro/con of using PC with white pad for SEC. I used SEC with hand and loved the result but can I use PC to get better result?

thanks

I notice you keep using the singular "swirl" not "swirls".... is this a swirl shaped scratch or something, or actual swirl marks than can only be seen in direct sunlight?

What pad are you using with it? Maybe they're really deep swirls and you're not being aggressive enough.

sorry for the confusion, it is swirls!

yes they can be seen under the direct sun but now I can see ..day time :scared

it's kinda dull look. when I applied DACP, it was good but now all the oil or films are gone, I guess.. that's why it's visible.

I'll try SEC & S100 to see if they'll hide them but I doubt..

Are you saying DACP is causing the paint to look slightly dull afterwards? What colour is your car and what kind of pad did you use?

I did a black car today with DACP and noticed the finish was lightly hazed/dulled when I used a cutting pad but not when I used a polishing pad so maybe that's why. SEC with a polishing pad might fix it if that's the case.

More abrasive products may leave marks of their own that need to be taken out by less abrasive products. That's why I generally go from DACP to #9 to PPCL or GEPC. That seems to always work out really well. On really bad swirls obviously there are more steps. If DACP isn't taking out all the marks then you may want to graduate up a notch. DACP is only a 6 out of 10 on Meguiar's lineup. There are stronger products you may want to try.

It's better if you can apply some sort of protection right away. One week wouldn't do too much harm, but why wait and let tree sap, bird doo-doo, pollen and insects all attack your "naked" paint?
