swirl removing combo's

SVR

Dream Machines
In a few weeks I will have a few cars to detail that have very severe swirls and would like to know your ultimate swirl and scratch removing combo's for hand and rotary use

This is what I have

PB 2.5 and 3

Menz IP and FP

Meg's #9

These are the combo's I'm thinking of trying

PB 3, 2.5, Meg's #9

PB 2.5 X 2, Meg's #9, Menz IP, FP

PB 2.5 X 2, Menz IP

Since #9 is very fine, what swirls can I remove with Meg's #9 by itself.

Is it OK to apply SSR 2.5 two - three times and finish with either #9 or the Menz twins.

Will be doing most work by hand until I can master the buffer. Fortunately I have some very old cars to practice buffing on but I hope I can get to Mizzuri's place in a few months for a few training days

Looking at the products you have this is how I would rank them according to abrasive level,

PB 3

PB 2.5

Menzerna IP

Megs #9

Menzerna FP

There is no best combo. You should be using the least abrasive product that will get the job done. Having said that I doubt that you will remove much of anything with #9 and FP, these are finishing polishes. I would start with IP and move up if need be, then start to work down to the lighter polishes. If you are doing this by hand the PB'S polishes should work well but I have had good results with IP by hand. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on this because it is difficult to correct paint by hand.

SSR 2.5 followed by FP will remove most swirls and leave a flawless finish. FP in my experience, does a good job at removing the minor haze that sometimes comes with medium abrasives such as ssr.25 and dacp.
