Just signed a contract on a new (to us) house with an in-ground swimming pool. Any one know of a good forum - such as this one - related to pools?? Got lots of questions...

Pool has a liner. 16 x 32. Liner is new (past 3 years). The prior owner had the pump and filter have been serviced by a pool company ever since she lived there. I called the place and they said she was on a once every 2 week service plan and last time they were there to close the pool everything was fine. They did of course to try sell me their service plan.
 
Properly maintainsd a liner can last 10 years. Just keep it clean. Sounds like everything else is well maintained.

I had two pools, never again, too much work, but then my kid was grown up and there were other things I liked to do, so I got tired of the almost daily up keep. Never used a pool service.Even with a service, you have to keep the pool in "balance" and have a supply of chemicals as needed.

Get a pH tester, etc, the stores that sell pool supplies will help you with any problems.
