Swifer Duster

I park in a very dusty area. I don't like to spray water on the car to remove the dust, and I don't have a California Duster so I was wondering if anyone has tried a Swifer Duster to remove dust from a car surface?
 
I'd try it on someone else's car first before yours. I use them strictly for dustng my engine compartment, or in the absence of a mf, the interior only.

I have to agree with BillD on this one. I would use them for interior and engine dusting. I have a Swifter duster cloth in all my cars for wiping down the interiors.
 
A CCD will pay for itself compared to buying Swiffer refills over a period of time, not to mention how much better it will be for your paint! You can pick up a CCD almost anywhere (even Wal-mart), but here is a thread on where to get the original wood handled version for about $12:
