Sweet deal on a Vapor Steamer

I recently ordered a VX-5000 commercial vapor system, and if your looking for a great deal this is it. I spent a couple weeks looking here and there, but during a few hours I really started to look at what is available and how much. This unit with a stand was picked up for $895. From doing calculations of projected savings with lower chemical use and time saved with this unit, I anticipate to break even in a month or two. I can say nothing but great things about this addition to my weapons for detailing. If you have any cool use ideas for this or tricks let me know... I love to pick up new ideas when I can.:chuckle:

I use this on everything... Headliners, leather, fabric, plastics, vents, etc. Def a must have for any serious detailer

For that price I'd rather go with the VM3000 from Attds to Details. They give you a reinforced hose & MANY attachments which can make or break the use of a steamer. As well top customer service & training. Some say it's purely for the interior, but if you mess around you can use it for the engine bay/door jams, etc. Diluted APC + Steamer = FAST cleaning & no need for an extractor.

I agree. I also purchased one from ATD for the same reasons.

I agree with you as well about support and the hose but it should be pointed out that it is the same steamer. I bought mine from ATD as well.

what is the site for atd? I looked around for steamers and found this to be the best bang for the buck... I saw detail king offering the same steamer under a diff name and it was nearly $300 more... guess many people are on to this steamer and selling it as their own.

True, which is why it's a good reason to use a horsehair brush or triangle attachment + microfiber. As well dilute the appropriate APC & use a good PSi amount.

i have this steamer and a vapor chief each one does its own thing both awsome machines.

just so everyone knows the one from atd is the same steamer and the guy who sells them backs his product and support 100%

I guess I should have spent the extra and dealt with ATD. I am in the process of trying to squeeze one out of Vapor Systems but so far all I have gotten was excuses as to why this unit hasn't shipped yet.

What do you think of the regular steamer vs the Vapor Chief? since I dont really know if it worth the extra 2000$.
