SUV Fender Flares

Hi everyone...I've been reading (lots) for a while now and many here seem to really know their stuff so I'm hoping somebody can help me out here.

Because I am too stubborn to install mudflaps (hate the look) on my (black) Yukon GT, the front side of the rear fender flares is looking faded/sandblasted form regular driving conditions (sand, road salt etc.)

I was told once of a product which when applied darkened up these lighter areas. I seem to recall it being a spray, and obviously had to be applied every so often/as required. Of course, I don't remember the name of the product or who told me about it now...

I'm not ready for new paint (just the flares are pooched) as the rest of the vehicle is holding up quite nicely.

Anybody with info. regarding such a product, it would be greatly appreciated if you could jar my memory so I can try to find it. If I'm way off base here, perhaps someone has some suggestions on what I should try instead.

Thanks in advance,
Hamr

What type of material are we dealing with here? Vinyl? Paint?

If vinyl, maybe they mentioned stoners trim shime or sprayway instant shine. meguiars has a new product in the detailer line called accent dressing I think.

I think some pics would help, I looked at this thread whne you started it, but really could not figure out without seeing what the soloution might be

i know there is a product called BACK TO BLACK . But thats really a stain from what I understand. I dont think that would be good though

It sounds like your talking about the paint just outside the well? If so is it just that there is alot of grime embedded in that area or is the paint damaged. Either way pics would help.

Sorry people, I guess I never thought that I'm the only one understanding what I'm trying to explain.

I will get some pics tomorrow and post them in the evening.

Thanks again.

Yukon GT....thats the 2 door, with gloss black plastic fender flares.

I dont know what to tell you, if the paint is chipped, then all you can do is repaint. Without looking at the pics i cant say much, but i guess you could try a PB BNB, or TR type product to get some color on those lighter areas. You might want to try AIOing it.
