So this car came to me as a “clean up” before it got thrown up for sale. What a fun little car to drive, super light and really neat looking. This is defiantly a fun little track rat. Was repainted, no idea how long ago, but the job was terrible. There were runs in places, touch up smears, and the door jambs were a different color. Oh well. The goal was to get the paint looking as good as possible and clean up the interior/leather to have it ready to sell...

I’m stillt trying to get a good flow going with my write ups..

Exterior:

-Wheels cleaned with Megs All Wheel, ONR, various brushes

-ONR wash/two bucks/microfiber mitts

-Clay with DI medium grade clay ONR used as a lube

-Megs M105 w/Orange LC pad on the DA speeds 4-6

-Megs M205 w/White LC pad on the rotary, 1000-1400rpm

-All chrome/exhaust tips polished with Optimum Metal Polish and #0000 steel wool

-Wash with ONR to remove polish residue/oils/dust

-Wax all surfaces with P21s

-Wheel rubber hit with Megs Hot Shine tire coating

-Windows cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass

Interior:

-Remove stickers with 3M Adhesive remover, heat gun, razor blade

-Vacuum

-Leather cleaned/conditioned with Lexol twins

-Megs Quick Interior Detailer on all plastics

-Windows with Stoners Invisible Glass

Wheels, they were all pretty much the same, road tar, general dirt, some track spaghetti..

Not many before/wash pictures because I used ONR for the duration of the detail.. so here are some durings/half and halfs/completely corrected.. The paint was pretty much a mess, RIDS, marring, you name it.. I was shooting for 80%-90% correction. I’m certain I achieved around 95% correction.

I also had to make sure I steered clear of areas like this..

Afters. The sun was peaking in and out, and it was about to rain so I had to keep pulling the car in and out of the garage to get good pictures. Enjoy!
