The Whaler Loves Detail City
Christopher Reeves died of a heartattack at age 52 on Sunday. Rest in peace.
 
A truly insirational man who dealt against un-imaginable difficulty, pain and trauma. My respects go out to Reeves' family, and more so, to the man himself.


To undergo a horrible accident that leaves him immobile, paralyzed and fully dependant on others is a truly sad and traumatizing situation.


However, this is a man with tremendoes will power, the sheer determination and humility of his spirit, his physical strength and perseverance and the gracious amounts of love... and more importantly....the will to succeed and overcome with the cards he's been dealt was awe-inspiring.

Against all odds.


If anyone feels depressed, or think their life isn't going as planned, or that you you have things bad....take a moment to step back and see how truly lucky you are.

Instead of focusing on whats wrong/negative, focus on whats RIGHT and GOOD.

Be grateful for the health, the oppurtunities and the freedom you have in your life, your problems become miniscule to those of others in this world. Also, everyone is the determinant of their own success, Christopher Reeves didnt let his situation paralyze his mind, even though his body was completely imobile...he represents the power of character, will and love...the same power we all have within us.



Let this be a reminder to us all, and let us maximize every minute of every day for the best and never settle for anything less than happiness.




P.S Sorry if i seemed to rant, just pasionate about what im saying....im off my soap box now :D
 
Rest in peace! We all tend to take a lot of things for granted. While watching extreme homes last night they were rebuilding a house for a family who's daughter was alegeric to UV light! If exposed she would break out in hives & such. But to imagine that you couldn't pass a window if it was sunny out, or you couldn't wear a T-shirt ect. All the things that we take for granted every day.
 
That is horrible. Just when he was starting to improve in his mobility and speech, something like this happened. He provided so much to others even in his condition. God Bless his family.
 
Focusedonsound: I watched that last night as well :). That show always touches Liz and I with the amazing things they do.

But honestly, just when you think you have it bad, there is always worse :(
