Any suggestions on cleaning ball point pen marks on light grey leather?

I have some Lexol leather cleaner that I haven't tried yet...

Thanks!

Paul

When my hubby got his new Max, he had a small spot of ink on the passenger seat. I used my Meguiar's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (it is a really thick cream). I used tiny bits and worked it into the spot really well with my finger. I just would wipe it up in between w/ a terry towel. It got it right off. I don't know if it will work for you, but you may want to try.

I also use Lexol to clean my leather. I really like it - have never used it to clean ink, but nevertheless, it is a good product.

the citrus smell is somewhat overhwhelming at times(its very concentrated)...ive used it for pen marks and scuff marks in my door sills....for both it came right out.....but that hair spray thing sounds cheaper....unless you use a fancy hair spray....:D

I don't know how safe the solvents are for car bits, but hairspray definitely does a number on ink.

How does the disclaimer go? "Test on an inconspicuous area . . ." :D

that's funny floni :) unless you use fancy hairspray, haha

I would go to the local K-mart or Walmart type stores and go to the travel section where you can get little bottle of hairspray or you might have some already, slickster :)

Rave Mega 4 hairspray is one of the strongest out there and it's cheap. It will remove any ink stain you have. Stong alchohol with strong glue content.

I thought some hairsprays had laquers in them and other sticky stuff. Doesn't it stick and what about color fastness?

I'd be suprised if you could "stain" your leather, I'm the one who rubbed Fantastic on my leather to see if the color would come off to check if it was finished or not remember? I would think yours is finished but if you want you can do test it. And the hair spray is sticky but you should just wash the spot it after you do it.

hair spray is not harsh! any thing for your own head is good enough for cow butts right? :D haha GMN, just had to point that one out :)

Cows use hairspray?

Is that where the COWLICK came from?

Oh well use pencil next time in lieu of pen than you can erase it! LOL

2007 997 Targa 4S

This is a daily drive 997 and has about 35k on the tach. The owner wanted to get the car looking new again because the paint was covered in swirls and had holograms all over the paint from the previous ?detailer?. Since the car is daily driven we decided to go with a 1-step polish and top the paint with a sealant.
