Sully's Detailing: 2006 M3

Just got my AIO and SG. I plan to apply by hand. Does it make sense to apply more pressure when applying the AIO as opposed to the SG (since the AIO is cleaning/polishing) ? Also should I use a back and forth motion as opposed to circular (swirls) ?

On a side note I'm thinking of getting the PC 7424 in the future (the shoulders ain't what they used to be). What's the norm - apply with the PC and remove by hand or use PC for both ? Is it hard to spread the prooper amount with the PC (especially since with Klasse its so little product) ?

I've read about every post I could find.

Thanks for yor input.

I find using the cotton applicators for AIO help clean the paint better. Make sure your vehicle is real clean if you plan on pressing hard. You may create deep scratches if there is any left over dirt. With the SG always use a foam applicator for easier and more even distribution.

I use back and forth motions. On the top surfaces I go bumper to bumper and on the side panels I use an up and down motion (Zaino corrupted me). Remember, with both Z and the Klasse twins, thin is best. If you ask yourself, did I put enough on, you probably did, otherwise, removing it will be a pain in the rear. I use foam for both the AIO and SG, but will have to try AIO with a cotton app.

I use microfiber covered sponges (or just mini-microfiber cloths) to apply AIO. The reason why I like it better than cotton is that it the dirt from in the fibers washes out better, leaving less chance for scratching. Make sure to wash and rinse your applicator for AIO frequently if it pics up dirt.

SG is more like spreading while AIO is more like wiping and cleaning.

Yep, I like to use Klasse as a cleaner that also protects.

I apply a small amount of Klasse AIO onto a dry pre-wax applicator or MF applicator, and "work the product in" with firm pressure. Then I wipe it off with clean Miracle Towel.

For SG, I lightly wipe on <strong class='bbc'>a very thin[/b] layer with a slightly damp foam applicator. I let it dry for about 15 minutes, and wipe it off with another clean Miracle Towel. If the SG is hard to remove, then you are probably using too much, and slightly moisten the towel, and try again.

Good luck!

I got a call from this client about a week ago. He just bought the car to replace his 2002 silver M3. He told me the car was in poor condition and wanted to get it looking new again. When I arrived it was over cast so the paint didn't look to bad. After I washed and clayed the vehicle I pulled it into the garage and hit the paint with the Brickman, man was I wrong. The Carbon Black Metallic paint looked flat as could be and was filled with swirls.

How are you able to finish with M105? Does the Wolfgang glaze have any cut to it?

Looks great though.

I was curious too so I looked it up. It looks like the new Wolfgang Glaze is a hybrid of Menzerna Nano Polish and the orginal Wolfgang Glaze.

This is one thing I don't get, why the Glaze? after the M105.

Your link was deleted, because as it was explained before, it is against forum rules to post links to other vendors.

Easy on the attacks guys. Sully never claimed this was a perfect detail and we all know it takes more then 2 steps and 8 months of polishing experience to really turn out mind blowing work. However it is a nice detail on a cool car, which we should all appreciate.

The chart in question was a no no here, from another vendor's site. That's way one can't see it here on this thread.

I wasn't mad Adam, I was just joking around.

Wolfgang Finishing Glaze is not really a "glaze". It's made by Menzerna, and it's basically the same thing as Menzerna 106FA.
