Suggestions for loaner car?

VW jetta/ GLI, super tight, fun to drive, even for a 2.5 the have some low end torque, VERY roomy, atractive, you can get a MK6 for pretty cheap new, and the tip tronic system is great.

I'd go with a Prius. Awesome fuel economy, the novelty of it would keep people entertained plus Toyota reliability.

Just my $.02

Open a corp account with Enterprise rental car. There are times I have a customer that needs a car to go to work. My corp rate is $25. per day. Customers use their own insurance or pay $20 per day for insurance. Don't take a risk lending a car. Save the money for other things.

A voice of reason.........I agree and and practice the same^^^^^ it's not if, but when you would be in court not to mention a wiped out car potentially.

There is a shop I know of who (had) two loaners, this was a contention to compete with me as he knew I did not provide loaners, well he did not have the right coverage and guess what?, one of his customers did not have insurance(he obviously did not check this out at the time he gave the keys to the customer)said customer plowed into someone else and caused a serious damage to three people and they came after him........no more loaners because there was no more detail shop.

You can do it, and some shops can if they have enough volume and of course comprehensive insurance to cover all the bases.

This really would make me do a lot of thinking before I let out a loaner.

Does it make any sense for you to drive to their place and "trade" cars for the day, resulting in you being the only driver? Then you would have to drive the car back to them to trade back. More time I know but this way you are the only driver.

I like the enterprise rental as a suggestion. I thought about logistics myself but it did not make sense for me to drop off and pickup. Rental is definitely the way to go and eliminate liabilities.

Sounds like a good idea but its not. Much more exposure than it is worth. Get an account with Enterprise. "We Pick you up" is their slogan. Ge5t a corporate rate and have then handle all your aggrivation.
