Suggestion for Top Coat

Ok, so I am truly a zaino lover, although I haven't bought into the AIO or CS products just yet. I hate to waste money so I am waiting till my supply of Z2/Z5 run out before I move over to the AIO.

My process for a full paint detail is usually

Zaino Clay

Menzerna IP w/PC 7424

Final Polish w/Z-PC w/PC 7424

Alternate coats of Z2/Z5 with ZFX added for speed (3 times)

Final wash with Z7

Spray down with Z8

No my question is what carnuba wax would give me the absolute deepest shine/glossy wet look for my color car - Laguna Seca Blue.

Thanks in advance.

I love Zaino as well but don't waste your money on CS. I feel that Z-5, 6 & 8 can't be beat. I bought CS and wish I hadn't. To be honest, I wouldn't put anything on top of what you already have. If you add a carnauba it might get a little deeper but you will lose Zaino's slickness and maintenance simplicity. Therefore, it's a trade off.

That's exactly what I had read about Zaino and carnauba's. That putting it on, on top of the Zaino products would be hurting more than helping even though some others have told me that the Clearkote Moose Wax's would make it look much more wet.

I personally wouldnt top Zaino, if you want something deeper, wetter, you should strip the Zaino and prep for the wax and only use the wax. I reccomend Swissvax Concorso. For a little less money, Pinnacle Souveran.

+1

Strip zaino, and try one of those waxes and see if you like it more. Don't forget to prep :)

Judging the look on my wife's face regarding the $150+ dollars spent on zaino, if I were to purchase the Concorso for upwards of $200 for the wax alone she would truly have me committed.

That being said maybe I will just stick with what I have. It is a great shine but we all want more/better don't we?

The nice thing about carnaubas is you dont really need anything other than the wax. Whereas Zaino, you know.....

The M3 looks killer!

Well maybe I will hurry through the Zaino stuff....hehe.

Thanks for the compliments.

First things first, I do have some swirls that the PC just frustrates me over so I need to get a rotary ASAP. But my car washing "zen" has been disturbed by water restrictions here in the south.

If your car was darker in color I might suggest RMG topped with Souveran. But seriously, it looks really good the way it is. Good luck trying to go thru Zaino quickly. It has unreal durability.

As suggested I wouldn't top the Zaino.

Some carnauba's have cleaner agents in them or filler agents in them and that's what will effectively diminish the Zaino. Some carnauba's do not, but for me it's not worth the risk.

You're car looks killer, you can only make it look so deep and wet you know.

The only thing to really do is have it completely polished out every swirl via a rotary buffer and then start over with the Zaino. Then you will have the absolute deepest and wetest the paint can actually look.
