Subaru owners, tell me all about them

Well, IMO dbl clutching every downshift is one of the pleasures of driving a stick :D

Absolutely Accumulator! I ALWAYS double clutch when driving a standard. Now-a-days though, 9 out of 10 drivers you talk to don't know what double clutching is (much less heel and toe ;) ). With my Sube, you better know how to double clutch because the synchros (especially 2nd-1st) just aren't up to the task!

Superstring brought up another good point: how do you Subie owners find the pedals with regard to heel-and-toe work? My Outback was OK but they were a bit far apart and IIRC the height difference was a little much too...it was doable but not really swell and I never got around to changing anything to make it better.

Are today's Subaru pedals OK for heel-and-toe? That'd be a deal-breaker for me.

Accumulator, I had to do some work on mine to facilitate heel & toe. The brake pedal was far too low, so I made some aluminum spacers and added an OMP accessory pedal on top. I also changed the accelerator pedal, although I'm not sure that was necessary. Here's a pic of my setup and I know, I know, I'm sorry the floor isn't clean!! :D
