Owner recently purchased this and wanted the paintwork looking its best and agreed to drop the car off to me for 2 days

Wheels/Tyres/Arches- wheels cleane with Bilberry wheel cleaner
- tyres/arches cleaned with Megs Superdegreaser
- tyres dressed with Zaino Z16
- arches dressed with Megs ASD
- wheels protected with Zaino CS

Wash- vehicle foamed with citrus degreaser
- washed Megs Shampoo Plus and an lambs wool wash mit
- tar removed from lower panels with Tardis
- clayed using Sonus green and megs LT as lube

When starting out to find a polishing combo it became clear it was going to be one long day as paint was sticky and every polish/pad combo i used just instantly gummed up and weilded itself to the paint. In the end I settled on using 106ff mixed with 3m ultrafina and a blue 3m pad which did a great job of removing defects on this soft paint. Not entirely happy with the finish i followed up with Ultrafina on a sonus finishing pad which really brought out the gold flake in the paint

I started with intenions of taking some before and after pics but when it dwelled on me i was going to have a hard day I put the camera away but did manage one set

Vehicle was given a IPA wipedown and protected with Swissvax Divine

^ That's probably one of the only cars on the road where the spoiler is actually factory designed to be functional. The wing is identical to the one on the million $ WRC car, so it's not just there for looks...although it does look badazz.

I may be a bit biased tho.:love:

:cool::dcrules I'm sorry if I offended you. It's just when I thank of any type of race car I can never visualize a sedan.Do they make a coupe?That might not be so ugly.:cool::rofl:rofl:roflJust kiddin:cool::dcrules

LOL, no offense. Maybe just a bit defensive as I'm fond of these cars and their heritage.:redface: I agree the wing is very large and I hated to be associated with kids that bolt on the biggest wing they could find onto their Dodge Shadow, K car or other totally non high perf car...ugh. And, no, they'd still be as ugly in coupe form :D Now they only come in hatchbacks. I'll prolly have a new avatar of mine shortly.

To the OP, i don't think that color was an option here in the states. Our black (Obsidian Black Pearl) wasn't metallic as far as I know. That thing shimmered after you were done with it. Props.

:cool::dcrules I have a customer who has a black wagon.Excecpt when I get finished with it and get it in tha sun it looks dark navy blue w/ heavy silver metalflake? I will give Subaru an A for there paint colors/metalflake.:cool::dcrules the car is also very quick off tha line. It surprised me.
