Stupid question, How do you put paste wax on PC pad?

I thought about making this a poll, but I can only think of things like smearing it on with your finger or a spatula. It's a stupid question, but I've only used liquid waxes so far and when I recently got some Nattys Blue I realized I wasn't sure of the best way to apply it to a foam pad on the PC.

The sad part is I won't be able to use my new NB for a few months at least. After some storm damage my car's going in for new paint.

Many people pop the wax out, put some plastic wrap around it with enough left that you can pull it out by tugging on the wrap. Then do the swipe on your pad and you're in business.

I use a yellow foam pad

1 - get some wax on the foam pad

2 - wipe on panel

3 - place pc over wax

4 - turn on pc (speed 2 to 4)

5 - spread product over 2/3 x 2/3 area of panel

another way is to tap the area a few times evenly around where you are waxing with the applicator. That is what I do.

I have a rubber-bladed spatula that I cut to fit my wax cans, but most of the time I just use a plastic razor blade. In fact, I keep one in each can of wax for this purpose, and to scrape off the exess.

Do what you have to do to distribute the wax evenly on the pad, and then *scrape off the excess*. You don't need much on there.

Dip a a foam applicator pad into the jar of paste wax. Then smear that applicator onto your PC pad. Works everytime.

You can use liquid wax with a PC so it shouldn't matter. Just don't give it a full throttle start or you will get sling like crazy.
