I always use clay and IPA if I'm not polishing to remove KSG.

For the SG, I like to use a MF-covered foam applicator. I mist it with 2-3 sprays of Sonus Acrylic Spritz (which is another great tool for working with the Klasse's). Open the bottle of SG, put the applicator DIRECTLY AGAINST the opening, and invert a few times.
I find that, with that method done twice on pad, i can do a good section, probably half a hood. I'd recommend doing your bigger areas first, and spreading it about 25% thinner than you think you should. This will help it get evenly on the pad, and make the tight areas easier.
OT (a little bit): What do you guys think about KAIO with a green or blue pad?
Thanks for all the input. I actually just bought a bottle of AIO at the Benz dealer. (Yeah! another product in the closet.) I was hoping I could get away with not because I wanted to try the Werkstat Acrylic Jett. At any rate, I have it and am about to give it a shot. I won't give up on the SG yet. I think I was just using the wrong applicator (which was also dry) and too much product. Duh! I will try again after AIO.
Thanks for all the great input. I especially want to try the misting idea.
