Strong cleaner wax that last?

I just want to know what is a good one step cleaner wax that removes lots of contamination and last long. See I sometime clean up my parents cars (which I wonder why they don't pay someone as they are wealthy enough to) and they don't keep them up very nice. The question I have is that I want something strong enough to skip a full polish until once a year and last long enough for the once every 3-4 months I wax them. These cars are outside 24/7. I have used some sealants like #21 which last, but it does not clean up very well. I have used #6 and it works OK but does not last past 6-8 weeks. I wonder how does Long Haul works as Scottwax likes it or will ColorX be the ticket or AIO. I like AIO cleaning, but not sure how long does it last as I usually top it with something.

You could probably use something like AIO or ColorX and top it with a quick go around of OCW. Shouldn't take much longer and it'll give it good protection.

For cleaning power, nothing beats Meg's #66, however, FK1 215, and Valugard OEM(now called cleaner polish sealant or something like that) are both polymer based 1 step products. They work very well IMO. It's what I'm using on my parents cars as and will probably use on work truck when I finally get a chance to detail it. Both get 3+ months of protection.

I guess it depends what you want the cleaning step to do? If you just want a chemical cleaner I'd probably go with AIO as it's durability is well documented. However, if you want an abraisive cleaner/wax that will remove some marring then #66 is a good option.

In terms of durability, any cleaner/wax IMO is not going to be as durable as a stand alone wax/sealant, but that's the price you pay for trying to get one product to do the job of two or three.

AIO or Mothers Reflections would be great.

I'm not sure if Collinite IW is a cleaner/wax, but if it is I don't think there's a more durable one-step product out there!

Generally, one-step products don't last nearly as long as a dedicated 2/3-step system.:)

Collinite IW has no cleaners at all, AIO is good for cleaning, but lacks bigtime when it comes to durability. Color-X has a polymer-based wax/sealant. I can't tell you about the Mother's stuff.

ColorX is the longest lasting cleaner wax I've used, but I'm not sure you'd get 4-6 months out of it. But I do get 2 months out of it here in the northeast, so you might do better with it in LA. It lasts pretty well for a one-step, and I have no fear of using it in an Autopian situation (ie, it looks great).

How about Poorboy's PwC?

Decent durability, but chemical cleaning only. Works great on surfaces already in excellent condition but won't do anything for swirls beyond whatever swirl removal ability the pad has.

20 has very mild cleaners in it, i wouldnt even classify it as a 1 step product. Ive used ColorX with good luck....and forget #6, you may get 2 weeks out of it...

FK1 215 works quite well, and lasts for some time. Another one

that works pretty good is Hi-Temp's Paint Perfection Glaze.
