Street Dreams: BMW M3 Carbon Black

David - you keep raising the bar! I'm sure you and Bob have taken a load of flack over the writeups done. A job well done:w00t:

I call BS, the photos are doctored!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this guy cannot correct at all. Look at the sun pictures for pete's sake as anyone knows their is no sun on the East Coast especially in New Jersey if anything Dave's photshop skills are the thing to be praised.

If all this sounds incredible, this is only a slight embellishment on how Dave is percieved on some sites, even after all the write ups he has done showing everystep and product he was questioned as a shill and his connection to GI and myself caused this......... ahhh I love the Internet "garbage in garbage out".

I fully understand the jist of what you are saying in this post, i see a lot of that type of junior high school behavior going on on a lot of detailing sites.. it is unfortunate...

Anyhow... Very nice job on the car David, and a real nice write. Thanks for sharing it.

I just have a few questions

1. did you do a small (2'x2') section at a time?
2. If yes, how long did you work the 105 on each 2'x2' section and with which machine?

I am only asking because I want to start using the 105 myself but am used to a diminishing abrasive process. With the excellent before and after photos that you have posted here I might get a good Idea of how long to work the stuff.

I usually work in a 2x2 or a bit larger area, depends on what stage of correction im on, with the initial correction I work in smaller areas for more precise results and control, during the general polishing stage I can work in a larger area.

I have no idea how long I worked M105 for, I use it a few different ways so the work times vary greatly... and on this car I switched back and fourth between rotary and DA. ;)

Beautiful work, as always. I love the blue hue that BMW's Carbon Black throws. I also love the CSL wheels on that model!

Very nice work indeed:thumbup:

Don't let anyone dis you about New Jersey. It's easy to detail when you always have nice warm weather.

The car has the competition pack I believe its called, just about all the exterior trim you need to look like a CSL without actually being one.

Well done as usual, young Jedi. :StarWars:

Enough with the young crap, Im a Jedi straight up:StarWars:
