Stop cotton towels from fraying

From reading on the Zaino site, cotton bath towels with the borders removed are suggested.

I went ahead and bought some towel, removed the borders and washed them. Now I have a large bundle of frayed cloth (exaggerating, but still had to do a lot of cutting to separate the towels). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could prevent the fraying?

Thanks

Like Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas says: I'm so 2008, you're so 2000 late. The new deal from Sal is the Zaino Blonde Borderfree Towel which is microfiber, not cotton. I can honestly say they are the nicest towel I've ever used. Use your cotton towels for interiors from not on.....

I guess I've been doing it backwards...I thought when your towels got all frayed at the edges it was time to get new ones, not that you cut the edges off so they fray when they are new. Of course, as suggested, after joining Autopia I began to replace my terry towels with MF...now I just use my cotton towels for grunge work, etc.

PointyStick, you could also buy some DF towels, they were Sal approved. Last I heard everyone was getting ripped off by him (DF), though.

Good thing I only tested one fo the cotton towels I bought, so I can return the rest:)

Thanks for clearing that up...

Anyone know a good place in the Vancouver BC area for MF towels? I have some ones from Canadian Tire, which seem good but I am far far far from an expert.

Oh...you're in Canada...most things seem to be much more difficult to get up there. Eshine seems to be a good resource for you (internet ordering).
