Has anyone tried Stoner Bead Max Wax? Never seen this stuff before, but I just saw it on Autogeek. Says it specially designed for water beading. Any feedback?
 
Anything loaded with oils will promote water beading. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be durable or good protection. If water beading is all that matters then you could cover the car with vegatable oil and get some serious beading. :lol:

although this seems like a good answer for beading...its really not!...that last time I used vegetable oil on my car...bee's chased me all over the neighborhood.....seriously I agree with Fuzz beading is a sign of a high oil content in the wax, its that what you are looking for is beading?
 
I get bees chasing me when I use Autoint's 'wax as you dry' product. Why do things that work so well have to attract things we don't like such as dust and bees? :lol:

I haven't used it because I don't hold a lot of stock in aerosal spray waxes. I don't really have a high expectation for normal spray waxes either. When I want looks and durabilty I go for something in a jar or a bottle without a spray top on it. ;) I'm sure the Stoner's product beads great, but for how long? If you want weeks of beading then typically you need to go for something with a little higher carnauba content.

I had a liquid wax from P&S care products that I stopped using because the bee's, flys and dust where every where when I used it.....was a real hassle to use because of that reason.
 
I stopped using Souveran prior to a car show because of the bug problem. The wax smells so good that it would attract gnats. Try to wipe them off the car and all you get is bug smears because their bodies are so squishy I guess... You just can't win it seems.

Okay, I'll buck the trend to bash Stoner here. I've used it and it worked quite well. There are many QD's that work as well or better but it was easy to dispense/work with and left a decent lasting shine.

As good as 2 hours with a PC and a top notch boutique product? No, of couse not but it did the job quickly, neatly, and with satisfying results.
 
I'm a new fan of PB's, the wax and QW+ bead pretty well, but I have a black car and I HATE water spots. I still get them with PB's, but not as much.

OK, I've never seen or used Stoner Bead Max Wax before, so is it a wax or is it a QD?
 
I really like bead max. I've got speed bead too, never really figured out the difference. It's great for quickie areas, like under the fuel filler door, engine bay,
 
It is a wax. It must be applied, left to haze, and removed as with other waxes. The can says Premium auto wax, a widely used term I know, but it does work well in my experience.
