Still having PC Problems

I opened this thread up because the other one was just getting too big. I went back over my rear end with SSR 2.5 with the yellow pad after reading everyones comments. I bumped the speed up to 5 and did 3 slow passes. While the lighting wasn't really all that great, it does appear to have taken out much of the swirling. If I discover in the daylight tomorrow that it didn't take out all the swirls, do I go over it with the SSR 2.5 again?

Again, while my lighting wasn't the greatest this afternoon, the paint looked great. There are still many really tiny scratches that cover the car, should I go over with the SSR 1? Will this eliminate the finer scratches and if so what pad so I use with it?

I'll try and post some pics at lunch time tomorow.

Thanks for all the help!

If imperfections remain, repeat the 2.5/yellow combo. That should remove all swirls and marring. Some scratches may be too deep to mess with. Follow up with SSR1/green or other light cutting/polishing pad.

Keep in mind that there is SSR3 which is yet another step up from 2.5. If you can't get what you want out of 2.5, you might have to take that next step.

Is the SSR capable of removing anything that the 2.5 was not? If not, what does SSR1 actually do other than repair the marring caused by SSR 2.5?

The really tiny scratches that you see all over the car, is that under indoor lighting? If so I would pull it out in the sun tomorrow to see how bad it is in that kind of light. Sometimes it's best not to get out every little thing. Now that does'nt mean you don't want a perfect finish, but there are some other options besides climbing up the abrasive scale right away. Remember with the PC sometimes you will spend alot of time on 1 panel as compared to a rotary, but you can still get fantastic results. Also you can look into glazes that fill the little scratches, so that you don't always have to go too deep or aggresive with swirl removers and compounds. Don't get frustrated and take your time meticulosly...

I can only see the tiny scratches in bright, direct sunlight. I went over the trunk of my car again with SSR2.5 (yellow Propel) and then followed it up with SSR1 (blue Propel). I'm much happier with the results compared to my previous attempt. Do you guys think that this is probably going to be the best I can do?

Additionally, here is another shot of my front fender. The paint was like this when I got the car. Anyone have any ideas on how I could correct this?
